New Contributions from Kelly Jones, FIU Nutrition & Dietetics Student

Hello and welcome to our blog. My name is Kelly and I am currently enrolled in Florida International University’s dietetics and nutrition program. Rachael Richardson and I met when I took a class of hers in spring, 2011. Although the course subject was boring, Rachael spiced up the curriculum by integrating her knowledge of natural, wholesome nutrition and its healing properties. Instead of simply learning to quantify a recipe, Rachael would create a recipe based on a nutrition topic. For example, one week she worked around the topic of antioxidants and had her class make pancakes made with probiotic-rich yogurt, topped with blueberry and raspberry sauce.

In this blog, we will be sharing articles based on an array of different nutrition topics on a weekly basis. We aim to focus our articles on nutrition topics that are both relatable and current. From children’s nutrition, global nutrition news, and recipe of the week to weight loss tips, Nutrolution news and special offers, check back each week to learn something new!
